Hi everyone. I just wanted to post a few new pics while I had some quiet time. He is, again, enjoying a nap in his swing. I am so glad we decided to buy it... I did debate the need for it at first.
Max is eating more and more every day it seems like. He won't have another visit to the pediatrician for a few more weeks, but I wonder what he weighs at this point. He is a very happy and content baby and only fusses when he is hungry or maybe a little gassy. He has been sleeping for longer and longer stretches at night which has been great for Curtis (who still has to get up early for work) and for me even though we spend most of the day lounging around the house. I will have to work hard to get back into a school/work routine even though most of that will take place here at home.
Max is working hard to lift his head up. When he is laying on my chest he will often pop his head up and look around for a few seconds at a time. Laying him down for tummy time on his play mat is a little different though. He really has to work to lift his head, but he does a little more each day!
We get a lot of comments about how he looks more like a three month old baby instead of a 5 week old baby. I guess it has a lot to do with his size. However, I forget sometimes how young he really is just because he really looks at me as though he has it all figured out. I find myself in that precarious position of all moms, between the excitement of him growing up and conquering new milestones and wanting him to stay small and cuddly forever.
Here Max is on his play mat. We just started using it a couple of days ago. I'm sure he will really like it more as he gets a little older and can reach those toys!
Really working hard to lift his head up! This is accompanied by lots of snorts and grunts! I will try to get it on video next time.
My Happy Boy! Is it gas or a true smile? We have no idea at this point.
Congrats to you! Max is an adorable little guy! Fun to see all the pictures!
