Happy Birthday to you, Asher!

Big Bad Boy Birthday Round-up

Ok, so here it is… Our post birthday(s) update.  I know, this is very late.  And I feel WAY behind because I now have birthday AND Christmas to cover in order to catch up.  So here we go!

So Baby Asher-Bo-Dasher is one.  We decided to keep the celebration very low key, and invite just a few friends over to celebrate the big event with us.  I decided against a party since I knew we had Max's party the next week and I was so stressed between that and all the projects I had due at the end of the semester.  I just couldn't do one more thing.  Sorry future Asher.  Max did not have a party at one either if it makes you feel any better.  We had a great time and Asher loved his apple cupcake.

New toys!  This is a tall race track and he has had a lot of fun rolling the cars (and anything else handy) down the track.
Max is a good big brother and always provides quality control. ;)

 Day dreaming
One of Natalie's co-workers was selling this "Asher" chair for $5.  Bargain!!!  He seems to now it is just for him and sits in it all the time.

Cupcake time! Curtis made a pumpkin pie so I put a little whipping cream on top for some frosting.  It took him a minute, but once he got into it he gobbled down.

He loved ripping and throwing the paper.

Maxwell is FIVE!  I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed.  I remember his first birthday so clearly, and here we are at number 5!  Max thinks he is big stuff these days.  We had his celebration of life at WMS on his actual birthday.  Ms Tita lit a candle for each year Max has been alive and I shared pictures and stories from each year.

Max is the Earth here and he walks around the sun once for each year.
Asher looked on while all the kids sang to Max.
Blowing out his candles.  I brought chocolate covered strawberries and juice to share with all of the kids.  Most of the strawberries went in the trash, but they sure gulp down the juice!
Max's Pirate Party!  6 of his buddies came to our house for some pirate-y fun.  We had Eli B., Cambell, Eli C., Luca, Baker and Levi.  A couple of the boys are from Max's "old school", and some from new, but they all had a great time.
We had a treasure hunt where the boys had to listen to the clues and collected gold doubloons at each spot.

They had a great time and I am so glad it stopped raining in time!  I DID NOT want this to take place inside my house!
Baker and Max, friends for 3 years… which is a lot considering.

Luca and Eli C., friends from WMS.
And finally Asher's 12 month pics.  So big now!
