I cannot believe Asher is 3 months old. He is so big, and staying awake for longer stretches during the day, which is fun and stressful especially when Max is home and wants attention too. I often think about my Gram who raised 8 kids… I'm not sure how she did it! I am having enough trouble with just the two. The weather is getting really nice here and with the flu scare over for the year we are being more adventurous and taking Asher out more often. This week is spring break so Max is at home, but we have plenty of outings planned to keep him occupied. I dread the heat of the summer which will drive us in for many weeks. I hope to find fun day camps and activities for him so we get relief from our cabin fever.
I had to take Asher to the doctor a day last week. I was afraid he might have an ear infection, but she thought it was probably just sinus pressure making him unhappy. He just cried every time I would lay him down to nurse. It makes sense that it was allergy related since poor Max spent the previous weekend sneezing out great big boogers (which he loved) and coughing up mucus. I also had some sinus drainage and headaches that weekend. We are all better now! They did get a weight on Asher and he is now well over 15 pounds. it will be much easier to carry his weight once he starts to hold me back.
Our neighbor, Ann, was nice enough to take a family picture for us. It is our first one with all of us together. Thank you Ann!
2 months!
His first time playing in Max's old jump-a-roo.
He really enjoyed it at first.
I love this new snake hat. He looks so good in hats! He needs a fedora.
Lazy Thursday
He refuses his soothie which is good in that we will never have to break that bad habit. Occasionally he will get a finger in his mouth. Here he is sucking on his knuckle, and he often sucks his bottom lip.
