Max's first busted lip

Our little bruiser had a run in, literally, with one of our dining room chairs. Chair 1, Max 0. There was blood and a lot of tears (all Max's, I was calm and collected) mainly because it happened right at nap time.

His lip the same day of the run in.

Close up!

This is the day after. It looks a little worse because it is scabbed over.

Fun in the snow!

We have snow in Waco! Ok, compared to much of our friends and family we have a tiny bit of accumulation in the yard. However it was enough to cancel work and have a fun day inside. It took us 10 minutes to get Max all bundled up for five minutes of pictures and video. It was worth it! He didn't seem too bothered by the cold (he definitely doesn't take after me in this respect) and enjoyed stomping around. Here are a couple of pictures and I will work on the video and get that up later. STAY WARM EVERYONE!

Making tracks!

Check out his red nose and cheeks! Fortunately it's not so cold that his drool string froze to his face.

Random fun on a cold day!

So central Texas has decided to get in on this whole cold front fad that is sweeping the nation. The good news is that MCC cancelled so Max and I didn't have to get out in it! We didn't get much precipitation, but icy winds abounded! Curtis worked part of the morning and then took the afternoon off... most of his patients weren't going to try to come in anyway. Today has also been cold and we have had rolling blackouts throughout the day. I don't mind the power going off, but I hate when it comes back on. The alarm system (that we can't use) resets itself with lots of sireny goodness, which can be scary at five in the morning.

Max has started saying a few words here and there. Ball, kitty and daddy have been some favorites along with owl, baby, and the occasional mommy or mama. Lately everything is "meee". I'm not sure if he is referring to himself, but he points at our family pictures and says "meee". But keep in mind he also points at pictures of hippos and says Daddy!

Anyway, here is a cute video of him messing around yesterday. I swear we did not teach him to make the farting noises on the couch, but the fact that we laugh every time he does it does not make us totally blameless either.
